I'm Jennifer Farey, the founder of Compass Rose Press. In 2016, I started Journey Fiction in order to mentor promising authors and bring their stories to readers. Now, in 2018, I've answered the call to assist pastors and other people of faith make their non-fiction books available to the public at large.
Our statement of faith: We believe in the love of God the Father, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Why choose Compass Rose Press?
With so many options for writers, why would you want to publish with Compass Rose? Maybe because:
You don't want to wait two years between submitting your completed manuscript and seeing your book for sale.
You don't have an agent but are ready to submit.
You want more input on cover design and editing decisions.

What can we do for you?
We're a small company with a big vision, and our authors are a huge part of that. Here are our responses to the questions we're asked most often:
How much does it cost to publish with Compass Rose? Nothing! We evaluate submissions, decline the ones that won't work for us, and extend an offer of publication to those that stand out. If the author accepts, we then send a contract to seal the deal.
Will my manuscript be edited prior to publication? Will a professional design my cover? The answer to both questions is: Absolutely! We produce high quality books, inside and out.
Does Compass Rose offer an advance? No. However, we offer a higher royalty rate than most traditional publishers.
Will Compass Rose help market my book? Yes. We're partners with our authors and discuss a marketing plan that works for us both.

Compass Rose Press doesn't require submissions to come through an agent. However, we do expect them to be professional and polished.
Proposals should include :
a detailed synopsis of your book as well as the Table of Contents, if available
The first three consecutive chapters of your book
an overview of the rest of the series (if applicable)
a bit about you and your publishing history (if any)
your marketing ideas
